Shoot! gets an anime sequel after 28 years

Tsukasa Oshima's "Shoot!" Is getting a new anime that will be released in 2022 under the title "Shoot! Goal to the Future "is to be broadcast.

The anime's official website describes the story as follows:

Atsushi Kamiya, a former Kakegawa High School captain and the world-famous "brave captain" of a famous Italian soccer team ... And Hideto Tsuji, a Kakegawa High School student who doesn't seem interested in the now weakened soccer team ... Yours Encounter is the beginning of a new legend ...

The original manga Shoot! appeared in Kodansha's Weekly Sh┼Źnen Magazine between 1990 and 2003. The series inspired the television anime Aoki Densetsu Shoot !, produced by Toei Animation, which premiered in 1993. A short sequel was released in 1994.
