Shueisha has announced a new manga competition, the "Jump Next-Generation Battle Manga Award," which focuses on manga with battle themes. Submissions will be accepted from October 1, 2024, to January 20, 2025.
The competition will be judged by prominent manga artists: Tite Kubo of "BLEACH," Kohei Horikoshi of "My Hero Academia," Yūki Tabata of "Black Clover," and Gege Akutami of "Jujutsu Kaisen." Winners who receive an honorable mention or higher will have the opportunity to publish their work in Weekly Shonen Jump and may receive a recommendation comment from one of the four judges on the cover when their tankōbon is published.
To celebrate the introduction of this new award, a special illustration by Kohei Horikoshi has been released, featuring the main characters of the works selected by the judges.
