Behind the scenes, the series is directed by Tatsuma Minamikawa. He will work under the banner of Project No.9. Keiichirō Ōchi is in charge of series composition, while Tomoyuki Shimoya will serve as the character designer. Gō Shiina will compose the music for the series. The novels approach the vampire theme in an unconventional way. Terakomari, nicknamed Komari, is a vampire who despises blood. Hailing from a renowned vampire lineage, her aversion to blood makes her quite the oddball—fragile, clumsy, and devoid of magical abilities. When she awakens, she finds herself in a position of power, leading a notoriously undisciplined troop. With the support of her loyal maid, Komari tries to navigate her unexpected leadership role.
