This episode picks up where the last one left off: Teru Momijiyama, also known as Shy, faces off against Stardust in a duel. The duel is a test of her abilities, and the stakes are high—if Teru loses, she must stop being a hero. Despite her best efforts, Teru fails to land a hit on Stardust, who seems to control the air around him. Stardust mocks her, saying her compassion makes her weak.

As the battle intensifies, Teru recalls a voice that always encouraged her. This memory reignites her determination, and her heart-shifting bracelets grant her renewed strength. She manifests flames, which she incorporates into her attacks. Though Stardust dodges them, Teru realizes her flames can indeed reach him. She pushes herself too hard and collapses.

Stardust concedes defeat, explaining that Teru’s final attack grazed his cheek before her transformation wore off. He leaves her with a message saying "Congratulations" and acknowledges her as a hero. Teru is treated by Dr. Schwartz and Lady Black, members of an international rescue organization called Black Cross, founded by Stardust. They inform her that she lacks talent but has earned Stardust’s recognition.

Teru wakes up in the infirmary, where she is visited by Iko Koishikawa. Teru apologizes for worrying Iko and vows to grow stronger. After a news report about an uprising in China caused by Stigma, the mysterious boy from earlier episodes, Teru reaffirms her resolve to be a hero for everyone.
