SHY S2 - Episode 1

Teru, the Japanese heroine Shy, starts her day with jogging and forgets N. Villio's request to buy tofu. Worldwide, other heroes are in action. Piltz coordinates relief efforts in a disaster-stricken country that has no heroes. Tony organizes a $50 million donation to the medical organization Black Cross through his colleague Davie. Pepesha engages with her community, donates at a café, and welcomes locals. Mingming trains hard and declines invitations from friends. Adam Rockwell supervises children at a military base during a disaster drill.

Teru receives a message from Iko that her brother Daigo bought Shy merchandise. Meanwhile, heroes around the world respond to various emergencies with their hero rings: Piltz tends to the injured and secures Black Cross support for them; Pepesha investigates a robbery she overheard in a bar; Mingming confronts a monkey stealing a lunch; and Adam handles a neighborhood issue. Teru rescues a girl and shyly introduces herself as Shy.

After the rescue, Teru participates in an interview with Tojiko from Akita Press. Flashbacks show Tojiko's struggle for inspiration after criticism from her boss Natsukawa and her grandmother's influence on her career choice. Teru's down-to-earth demeanor during the interview, including her love for sweets, helps Tojiko rediscover her passion for reporting and see heroes as relatable individuals.

A few weeks later, Teru and Iko discover Tojiko's article in a store, embarrassing Teru and making her want to buy all available copies. At the same time, Uni-Lord contemplates the plans of Stigma, the leader of Amarariruku. Stigma and his associates discuss Tzveta and her intent to eliminate heroes. The episode ends with a nameless girl on a train to Japan, looking forward to meeting Shy.
