At the Anime Expo 2023, Crunchyroll's industry panel revealed details about the upcoming "Solo Leveling" TV anime, including the main cast and a promotional video. The series, based on Chugong's action-adventure manhwa, is set to premiere in January 2024.

"Solo Leveling" tells the story of Chugong's manhwa, which originally began as a web novel on the Kakao website. The series, which started in July 2016 and ended in March 2018, was eventually published by D&C Media in 14 volumes. A webtoon adaptation by Sung-rak Jang was also serialized on Kakao, running from March 2018 until December 29 of the following year.

As for the cast, Taito Ban will voice the protagonist Sung Jin-Woo, while Genta Nakamura will play Yoo Jin-Ho. Other characters include Baek Yoon-Ho, voiced by Hiroki Touchi; Choi Jong-In by Daisuke Hirakawa; Cha Hae-In by Reina Ueda; Woo Jin-Chul by Makoto Furukawa; and Go Gun-Hee by Banjou Ginga.

Regarding the production team, the TV anime will be directed by Shunsuke Nakashige at A-1 Pictures. Series composition will be overseen by Noboru Kimura, while Tomoko Sudou is in charge of character design. The music composition will be handled by Hiroyuki Sawano.
