'Solo Leveling' Anime Set To Release Winter 2024, Additional Cast Members And Staff Will Be Introduced

At the Aniplex Online Fest 2023, a series of new details about the upcoming anime adaptation of the "Solo Leveling" manhwa—originally created by author Chugong and the late artist DUBU from REDICE Studio—were recently revealed. The event, set to premiere in January next year, showcased the first promotional video with English subtitles, unveiled additional cast members, and described further staff roles.





Haruna Mikawa was announced as the voice of Aoi Mizushino. Newly revealed staff members include:

The main cast includes:

- Taito Ban as Sung Jinwoo (or Shun Mizushino in Japanese)

- Reina Ueda as Cha Hae-In (Shizuku Kosaka)

- Hiroki Touchi as Baek Yoonho (Taiga Shirakawa)

- Genta Nakamura as Yoo Jinho (Kenta Morohishi)

- Daisuke Hirakawa as Choi Jong-In (Shin Mogami)

- Banjou Ginga as Go Gunhee (Kiyoomi Gotō)

- Makoto Furukawa as Woo Jinchui (Akira Inukai)

The story takes place in a world where "gates" connect our dimension to another, giving rise to individuals known as "Hunters" who possess supernatural abilities. Sung Jinwoo, known as "the weakest Hunter," one day stumbles upon a mysterious quest that grants him the chance to change his fate.

Shunsuke Nakashige will direct the series at A-1 Pictures, while Noboru Kimura serves as the head writer. The character designs are handled by Tomoko Sudo, and the music is composed by Hiroyuki Sawano.

Fans outside Asia can expect the anime to be available for streaming on Crunchyroll.
