Solo Leveling - Episode 8

In this episode, Sung Jinwoo realizes that he needs the Elixir of Life to cure his mother's illness and decides to set out in search of the ingredients. He agrees to participate in nineteen C-rank raids together with Yoo Jinho, on the condition that they set out alone, as they plan to rely only on hired help to meet the entry requirements. Their strategy aims to minimize losses and impress Yoo Jinho's father.

Meanwhile, the impact of dungeons on society is discussed. Yoo Myunghan highlights the transformative effect of dungeons on various areas of society and emphasizes the crucial role of hunters in gathering important resources. He criticizes the current system in which guilds monopolize the resources of the dungeons instead of a more responsible authority and announces the establishment of a new guild to address this issue.

A large part of the episode revolves around the reunion of the survivors of a previous tragic raid from the first episode. They confront their past and thank Sung Jinwoo for his role in their survival. The episode ends with the group preparing for an upcoming raid, which also includes substitute prisoners under the supervision of a higher-ranked hunter.
