During the Crunchyroll Showcase at Anime Expo 2026 in Los Angeles, the production of a new film for the anime series "Solo Leveling" was officially confirmed. The film is titled "Solo Leveling: Beyond the System" and directly follows the events of the second season "Arise from the Shadow," which aired in early 2025.

The project is animated by A-1 Pictures, which was also responsible for the two previous seasons. Tao Tajima serves as director, as well as cinematographer, editor, and colorist. Character design is handled by Tomoko Sudo, who is also known from the series. The music will once again be composed by Hiroyuki Sawano. Taito Ban continues to voice the main role of Shun Mizushino.

Alongside the announcement, the team released a first concept teaser and a key visual showing the protagonist with a determined look. Official details about the plot are not yet available, but the title "Beyond the System" suggests that the story delves deeper into the mystery of the enigmatic "System" that grants Mizushino his unique abilities.

The source material comes from Chugong (story) and DUBU (art) from the South Korean studio REDICE STUDIO, as well as h-goon (adaptation). The film is expected to be released in Japan in 2027. An exact date has not yet been set. The film is co-produced by Aniplex, D&C Media, Netmarble, Kakao Piccoma, and Crunchyroll.
