Sondermann Prize 2008

Frankfurt/Main - Prominent figures from the comic scene chose their favorites. In various categories, the awards went to, among others, Ralph Ruthe, Anna Hollmann, and Eiichiro Oda.

Once again this year, the time had come. The Sondermann Prize for the best German comic went to Isabell Kreitz for her "Sache mit Sorge" ("The Sorge Affair"). In the category "Best German Manga," author and artist Anna Hollmann took the top spot with "Stiupid Story 1." Finally, the most popular international manga, "One Piece 44" by Eiichiro Oda, was honored with the Sondermann Prize. The story of the red-haired Monkey D. Luffy has already sold 2.5 million copies in Germany. Ruthe, on the other hand, was successfully nominated for the fourth time.
