With just under three months until its theatrical release, the second part of "Sound! Euphonium: The Final Movie" has received a new main trailer and a final key visual. The footage shows protagonist Kumiko Oumae and her rival Mayu Kuroe in decisive moments of the final chapter of the beloved anime series.

The anime, spanning approximately 11 years, reaches its definitive conclusion with this film. The second part will be released in Japanese theaters on September 11, 2026 – with around 200 screens planned. The first part has been showing nationwide since April 24, 2026, and is still available.

The new trailer focuses on the inner turmoil of Kumiko and Mayu, their differing ideals, and the collective effort of the Kitauji High School brass band as they aim for the national gold medal. Numerous new scenes have been added, including flashbacks to Mayu's childhood, footage of the cultural festival, and graduation ceremonies. The final key visual shows the main characters moving forward together, accompanied by the line: "And so the final song begins –".

In parallel, the second batch of advance tickets has been unveiled. Under the name "Kitauji Glasses Collection," ten characters wearing glasses are depicted in specially crafted illustrations. The tickets are sold in pairs, with buyers able to choose their desired combination. As a bonus, each pair comes with a "Tubakun Movie Ticket Sleeve 2." Those who order all ten cards from the online shop will additionally receive the "Folding Movie Ticket Album 2."

The official soundtrack for the film will also be released on opening day. Composer Akito Matsuda has recorded new background music pieces as well as the wind orchestra works featured in the film. Also included is the title song "ReCoda (The Final Movie Ver.)" by TRUE together with the Kitauji Brass Band, which was newly arranged and recorded specifically for this film. The music will be released in two editions: The limited first edition comes in an EP-sized canvas-style case, while the regular edition comes in a standard jewel case. Both contain two CDs.

"Sound! Euphonium" is based on the light novels by Ayano Takeda. Kyoto Animation produces the anime adaptation under the general direction of Tatsuya Ishihara and the direction of Taichi Ogawa. The screenplay is by Jukki Hanada, with character designs by the late Shoko Ikeda and Kazumi Ikeda. The film is distributed by the 'Hibike!' Production Committee 2024 in collaboration with Shochiku.
