The remake series of the classic "Space Battleship Yamato" continues: The third chapter of the series "Yamato yo Towa ni REBEL3199," titled "The Azure Asteroids" (Original: "群青のアステロイド"), has released a new key visual and trailer. The film will premiere in Japanese theaters on April 11, 2024.

The key visual was designed by character designer Nobuteru Yūki (known for "Escaflowne" and "The Vision of Escaflowne"). It depicts the Yamato crew amidst a spectacular space backdrop, capturing the epic atmosphere of the series.

The trailer not only offers a glimpse of the action-packed scenes but also features a newly animated appearance of the battleship Arizona, familiar to fans from the original work.

"REBEL3199" is a reimagining of the third film "Yamato yo Towa ni" from 1980. The story is told across seven chapters, with each chapter offering a self-contained narrative that ties into a larger overarching plot.

In the third chapter, the Yamato crew faces new challenges as they navigate through the "Azure Asteroids." The mission is perilous, and tensions rise onboard as the characters grapple with personal conflicts and the looming external threat.
