On September 22, 2021, the series Star Wars: Visions was released with short animated films on Disney+. The anthology consisted of nine short films produced by anime studios. And as previously announced, Star Wars: Visions will return. The second anthology collection will be released on Disney+ in spring 2023.

"Star Wars: Visions" will also not be the last anime project in collaboration with Disney. In October 2021, it was announced that an anime based on the Japanese mobile game Disney Twisted-Wonderland is in the works. A Disney Twisted-Wonderland anime will also be released on Disney+.
