The eagerly anticipated TV anime adaptation of Rasuko Ōkuma's manga "Stardust Telepath" has finally revealed its cast, premiere date, and visuals, as the official website opened on Thursday.
With director Kaori, who also directed "Yuyushiki" and "The Quintessential Quintuplets ∬," and series composition by Kaori and Natsuko Takahashi of "Comic Girls," this anime is in good hands. The character design comes from Takahiro Sakai, known for his work on "Yuki Yuna Is a Hero," who also serves as animation director.
The anime follows Umika, a shy girl who struggles to socialize and make friends. Her life takes an unexpected turn when a transfer student named Yū appears, who turns out to be an alien with the ability to read people's emotions by touching their foreheads.
"Stardust Telepath" debuted as a 4-panel manga in the magazine "Manga Time Kirara" in May 2019 and began serialization in July of the same year. With its third compiled volume, released by Houbunsha on October 27, the manga was nominated for the "Best Printed Manga" award at the 7th "Next Manga Awards" in 2021.
