Animation studio david production has released the second key visual for the adaptation of Hirohiko Araki's JoJo's Bizarre Adventure Part 7 – Steel Ball Run. The image shows protagonists Johnny Joestar and Gyro Zeppeli in front of a vast, barren desert landscape, above which a ghostly, skull-like sun hovers – a grim preview of the dangers lurking in the second part of the story.
The first part of the series, 1st STAGE, has been available as a 47-minute special episode exclusively on Netflix since March 2026. The start of 2nd STAGE has already been announced for fall 2026, which will now be broadcast weekly – also worldwide via Netflix. The focus is on crossing a desert approximately 750 miles long, where the feared area known as "Devil's Hand" is located. Alongside the visual, Warner Bros. Japan announced that a special panel for Steel Ball Run will take place at Anime Expo 2026 in Los Angeles on July 3. Composer Yugo Kanno – responsible for the music of all previous JoJo animes – as well as English voice actors Daman Mills (Johnny) and Kaiji Tang (Gyro) are expected to attend. In addition to a live performance by Kanno, new insights into the second season are also to be provided.
