Steins;Gate Celebrates 15 Years: Immersive Exhibition in Akihabara with the Future Gadget Laboratory

To celebrate the 15th anniversary of the TV anime broadcast of Steins;Gate, a special immersive exhibition will open its doors this summer. The "Steins;Gate ANIMATION 15th Anniversary EXHIBITION" will take place from July 17 to August 2, 2026, at AKIBA_SQUARE on the second floor of Akihabara UDX in Tokyo. The centerpiece of the exhibition is the iconic Future Gadget Laboratory, the starting point of the story. The event is designed as an immersive space where visitors can dive into the world of the anime together with all eight lab members. This includes completely redesigned photo spots as well as faithful replicas of the famous inventions from the series, including the Phone Microwave (tentative name) and the Gel Bananas. As an admission bonus, guests will randomly receive one of two lab member badge stickers and one of eight smartphone-style photo cards, each featuring one of the characters. In the attached merchandise area, exclusive items with illustrations specially drawn for the anniversary will be offered. The admission fee is a flat 2,500 yen (tax included). There are two ticket variants: a date-specific ticket, required on opening day as well as on weekends and holidays, and a weekday ticket, valid on all other days. Advance sales started on June 13, 2026, at 10:00 AM via Lawson Ticket. The exhibition is part of the comprehensive 15th-anniversary project announced by Kadokawa in April 2026, which kicked off with a specially drawn anniversary visual of all lab members. The timing close to the release of the new game STEINS;GATE RE:BOOT gives the exhibition an additional bridging function between the past and future of the series.
