The 2020 Tokyo Olympics begin on July 23, and with them come collaborations with the anime world. One of the most anticipated collaborations is the premiere of the animated short by Studio Ponoc, a small studio made up of former Studio Ghibli employees that has given us "Ninokuni" in the past.

The project titled "Tomorrow's Leaves" will be presented at the opening of the event and tells, in 8 minutes and 27 seconds, a story about how the meeting of people from different places paves the way to a good future. In the play we meet five emissaries from distant countries, each with their own unique skills, who come together to master sporting challenges and protect the world.
