Kadokawa opened an official website for the TV anime adapting Miri Mikawa's "Sugar Apple Fairy Tale" on Sunday. The site revealed the team, cast, and a teaser promo. The anime series will air starting in 2023.

The cast includes Yuka Nukui as Anne Halford, Masaaki Mizunaka as Shalle Fen Shalle, Rie Takahashi as Mythril Lid Pod, and Tomoaki Maeno as Hugh Mercury.

Youhei Suzuki directs the anime at J.C. Staff. Seishi Minakami is in charge of series composition. Haruko Iizuka designs the characters for animation. Hinako Tsubakiyama composes the music. Flying Dog handles music production.

Yen Press licensed both the light novel and manga in English in 2021, describing the story as follows:

Anne Halford is a confectionery maker determined to follow in her mother's footsteps and become a Silver Sugar Master, a title bestowed only by royalty. To travel to the capital and fulfill her dream, she purchases Challe, a handsome but ill-tempered fairy, as her bodyguard. Anne wants to befriend her new companion, but in this kingdom where fairies are treated like property, Challe wants nothing to do with humans. Will this journey with Anne change his mind?
