Episode 8 begins on a rainy day. Mie-san is struggling to see clearly. She steps into a puddle and gets her socks wet. Komura-kun tries to help her but ends up in an awkward situation when he sees her feet. They share a moment where Mie-san expresses her fondness for the rain.

Later, Mie-san is seen waiting outside because she forgot her keys. Komura-kun approaches her, and they play together on a swing. During their interaction, Komura-kun becomes uneasy about an app store card he drops, fearing Mie-san might judge him for his spending on microtransactions. However, Mie-san, unfamiliar with such games, innocently mistakes the card for an "apple card."

That night, Mie-san calls Komura-kun while staying over at her friend Asuka-chan's place. She is scared because she ventured into the washroom without her glasses, and it was too dark. Komura-kun tries to comfort her and even sings the school song to distract her from her fear. They laugh together when Mie-san realizes she could have used her phone's light.

The next day at school, Mie-san wears a prescription swimsuit goggles, which catches Komura-kun's attention. He grows uneasy again, thinking he might be staring at her too intently. Later, they exchange a won chopstick from a snack stand, which Mie-san gives to Komura-kun.

The episode takes a dramatic turn when Komura-kun witnesses a love confession behind the gym. Mie-san, initially distracted by a cat, eventually realizes the seriousness of the situation. She sees Azuma-kun rejecting a girl's confession, explaining that he likes someone else. This makes Komura-kun reflect on his feelings for Mie-san and wonder if she would understand if he confessed to her.

The episode ends with Komura-kun thinking about the upcoming school trip and hoping to be in the same group as Mie-san.
