In Episode 9 of "Suki na Ko ga Megane wo Wasureta" titled "I Went on a Trip with the Girl I Like," the students prepare for a field trip to a science museum. Komura-kun wants to be in the same group as Mie-san but lacks the courage to ask. However, his friends notice his feelings and decide to join him in Mie-san's group. Since Mie-san often forgets her glasses, she plans to bring a spare pair. Her friends notice her glances toward Komura-kun and encourage her to invite him into their group. Both are relieved when they end up in the same group.

On the day of the trip, Mie-san accidentally brings the wrong glasses instead of her prescribed ones. She struggles to see the exhibits but doesn’t want to bother Komura-kun. He notices her difficulties and tries to help without making her feel guilty. Mie-san feels bad for relying on him and decides to distance herself. However, she eventually gets lost and has to depend on Komura-kun to find her way back. She expresses her frustration about being dependent on him, and he confesses that he enjoys helping her and wishes she would forget her glasses more often. This confession leaves Mie-san confused, unsure how to respond.

Back at school, Mie-san decides to wear contact lenses to avoid relying on Komura-kun. However, she finds them uncomfortable and admits to him that she prefers his help. Komura-kun is delighted, and Mie-san realizes she is special to him. She begins to wonder if her feelings for him might also be something special.
