Summer Ghost Anime Reveals Trailer and Release Date

The upcoming anime film "Summer Ghost" has revealed new production details, including the release date, part of the main cast, and the team behind the animation. Although "Summer Ghost" is classified as an anime, it is actually a short film.



This information is included in the new promo teaser, which introduces us to the world of three high school students—Tomoya, Aoi, and Ryō—who met online. According to an urban legend in their hometown, when the fireworks go off, the "Summer Ghost" appears, a spiritual girl who will become the strongest bond between the friends. Each of them has their own reason for wanting to meet the Summer Ghost: Tomoya cannot live the life he envisioned for himself, Aoi cannot find her place in the world, and Ryō has just lost sight of his once-bright future.

In addition to directing, Loundraw also handled the original character designs for Flat Studio, the production company he founded in 2019, with Hirotaka Adachi assisting on the screenplay. The soundtrack features internationally acclaimed pianist Akira Kosemura, who can be heard in the promo teaser below.
