Summer impressions for Anime Shunkashūtō Dōkōsha: Haru no Mai

For the animated series Shunkashūtō Dōkōsha: Haru no Mai (English: Four Seasons Performers: Spring Dance), visual motifs for the summer season have been presented. The central motif features the characters Ruri Tōzaki, the representative of summer, and her protector Ayame Tōzaki. The illustration presents both in a landscape characterized by lush vegetation under a blue sky, surrounded by various animals. A newly released presentation video also picks up on this summer scenario and offers moving insights into the depiction of the season 35.

The plot is based on the light novel series by author Kana Akatsuki, who became internationally known through Violet Evergarden. The focus is on so-called "Four Seasons Representatives," who were chosen by gods to ensure the natural change of seasons. The anime adaptation centers on Haruka Hinagiku, the representative of spring, who unexpectedly returns after a ten-year disappearance. Together with her protector Sakura Himewaka, she embarks on a journey to restore the lost spring 17.

The production is handled by studio WIT STUDIO (Attack on Titan, SPY×FAMILY) under the direction of Yamaken. The visual design and animation are realized by established professionals such as character designer Namiko Torii and art director Yūsuke Takeda 7.

The now-released summer motif and the presentation video complement the spring material previously introduced. Further visual designs for other seasons are expected to follow in the course of production 35.
