"Takao Ameku's Mystery Case Files" - premiere, cast, new preview and theme songs announced

The TV anime adaptation of "Takao Ameku's Mystery Case Files" will premiere on January 1, 2025. Alongside the release date, new information about additional voice actors, a new preview video, a key visual, and the theme songs has been revealed.

The series is based on the medical mystery novel of the same name by Mikito Chinen, who is both a doctor and an author. The story follows the brilliant physician Takao Ameku as she unravels seemingly unsolvable murder cases and other mysteries that even the police cannot solve. The animation is produced by project No.9, with Ayane Sakura voicing the titular heroine, Takao Ameku.

New roles and voice actors have been announced:

- Takaya Naruse, a skeptical investigator, will be voiced by Junichi Suwabe.

- Kimiaki Sakurai, a deputy inspector of the Tokyo Metropolitan Police, will be voiced by Hiroaki Hirata.

- Junko Sumida, another key figure, will be voiced by Miyuki Sawashiro.

The voice cast also includes renowned names such as Ryota Takeuchi, Miyu Tomita, Akio Otsuka, Kikunosuke Toya, Akira Ishida, Haruka Aoki, Takahiro Sakurai, Yui Ishikawa, Shion Wakayama, Aya Hirano, and Rena Iwamoto from Nogizaka46. Comments from Suwabe, Hirata, and Sawashiro accompany the announcement.

The opening song "SCOPE" will be performed by Aimer, while the ending song "will be fine feat. Anly" is by the Gospellers. Aimer explained: "The protagonist Takao Ameku, who fearlessly solves the most challenging cases, was the inspiration for 'SCOPE,' which symbolizes her essence." Kazuya Kurosawa of the Gospellers shared his enthusiasm: "Being part of this project based on Mikito Chinen's novel, with Yaffle as producer and Anly as a duet partner, is a true dream come true."
