In this episode, the story continues with Haruto's capture by Prince Jade, who imprisons him with a potential sentence of up to eighty years. Prince Jade, who is overly protective of his sister Nephrite, believes she is too young to inherit the Wind Ring. He maintains that the Wind Ring, established by their petrified parents, provides sufficient protection for their people.

Haruto's situation changes when an elder elf rescues him and leads him to the Temple of the Wind. There, Haruto discovers the Wind Ring in the hands of Nephrite and Jade's petrified parents, who sustain the Storm Wall. During a visit to the temple, Nephrite, unaware of Haruto's presence, faints at the sight of him.

When she regains consciousness, Nephrite initially reacts with despair, but Haruto manages to convey his peaceful intentions. He learns of her curiosity about the outside world, fueled by the elder elf's books, and her desire to explore that world—including his own.

The episode progresses as Prince Jade and his guards find Haruto and Nephrite in the elder's treehouse. Encouraged by Haruto, Nephrite attempts to assert her independence but is overwhelmed by Jade's insistence on maintaining the status quo and returning to the palace.

Later, Haruto reunites with Hime, who is slightly jealous of his interactions with Nephrite. Peridot, the eldest elf, reveals further backstory: the reluctance to pass on the Wind Ring stems from a tragic incident involving Nephrite's older sister, who fell in love with a human. Her mysterious disappearance, accompanied by rumors and suspicions, led to her being cursed and exiled from the village.

This incident not only deepened the villagers' fear of the outside world but also caused Nephrite's parents to inherit the Wind Ring and erect the Storm Wall. Peridot warns that despite their perceived safety, the threat of the Abyss King endangers their existence. She hints that their future is at risk unless Nephrite inherits the ring and Haruto, as the Ring King, marries her to harness his power. The episode ends with the question of whether Nephrite can be persuaded to accept her fate despite Prince Jade's opposition.
