In this episode, Prince Marse is confronted with a deep sense of inadequacy after failing to fulfill his role as the Ring King, which is further compounded by Princess Saphira's rejection. The Oracle exploits this emotional vulnerability and offers him an ancient sword capable of neutralizing the powers of the Ring King.

Meanwhile, the group is attacked by monsters in the palace. In the ensuing chaos, Marse attempts to kill Satou with the enchanted sword. Despite Marse's superior swordsmanship, Satou notices that Marse hesitates to fully commit to his attacks. In a decisive moment, Marse, in his despair, begs Satou to end his life. Instead, Satou affirms Marse's worth and appoints him as the knight who will save the world. By destroying the gem on Marse's sword, Satou breaks the sword's curse.

The Oracle escalates the situation by taking Saphira hostage and demanding the rings in exchange. Marse, now aware of his newfound purpose, proposes to Saphira, giving Satou the opportunity to free her while everyone else is distracted. Saphira transforms into a water dragon and defeats the Oracle's monster.

After the Oracle is defeated, the rejuvenated king, freed from its influence, approves the marriage of Marse and Saphira.
