To celebrate the 10th anniversary of the popular manga series "Tanuki to Kitsune" by Atamoto, a TV anime adaptation has been announced. The series is scheduled to start in October 2026.

The story revolves around the daily life of a somewhat clumsy raccoon dog (Tanuki) and a mischievous fox (Kitsune), who live together on a mountain and are close friends. The series currently comprises ten manga volumes and three picture books, with total sales exceeding 1.3 million copies.

A short anime adaptation was already released online in 2018. For the anniversary, a full-length television adaptation is now in production.
