Tate no Yūsha no Nariagari: Fourth season reveals key visual and trailer

For the fourth season of the animated series "The Rising of the Shield Hero," a new key visual as well as a second opening theme were released. The announcement was made on June 15 during the "Tatefes" event at the Sakura Hall Cultural Center in Shibuya.

The key visual shows protagonist Naofumi Iwatani with his group against a stormy sea backdrop. At the center of a whirlwind, the newly added characters Varnarl and Jilaris as well as an unknown woman can be seen.

The second opening presents action-packed scenes, including battle sequences with Fohl and Atla in Shieldverten. The ending song is "Towa ni Ippai no" by singer Chiaki Fujikawa.

Regarding the plot: After the events of the third season, L'Arc Berg is misunderstood as the heir to the throne, leading to assassination attempts by Kutenrou agents. Naofumi and his companions get caught up in these political upheavals.
