The episode begins with Naofumi learning that Motoyasu is searching for his missing companions. Queen Melromarc urges Naofumi to reconcile with the other heroes, especially Motoyasu, as the revival of the Phoenix is imminent. Naofumi hesitates but agrees to search for Motoyasu.

Back in Lurolona Village, Naofumi’s community is thriving. Sadeena and Fohl have undergone a level reset and are in the process of regaining their strength. Naofumi, Raphtalia, and Filo are busy gathering resources for the village and preparing for the upcoming battle against the Phoenix.

A mysterious visitor, S'yne, arrives in the village. She is the murderous clown from the underground arena. Naofumi is suspicious and asks her to leave, but S'yne insists that she helped protect the village from slave traders.

Naofumi, Raphtalia, and Filo set out to search for Motoyasu. Along the way, they encounter Ren, the Sword Hero. Ren blames Naofumi for the death of his companions, and the two engage in a heated argument. Ren is also being influenced by Malty, who continues to manipulate him against Naofumi.

A confrontation between Naofumi and Ren ensues, culminating in a duel. Naofumi wins, but Ren remains unimpressed and flees with Malty. Meanwhile, Motoyasu appears, now infatuated with Filo and calling Naofumi "Father." To everyone’s horror, he proposes to Filo.

The episode ends with Naofumi, Raphtalia, and Filo returning to their village, still concerned about the fractured relationships among the heroes and the looming threat of the Phoenix.
