Tearmoon Empire is a light novel series written by Nozomu Mochitsuki and illustrated by Glise. The publication began in August 2018 on the website Shosetsuka ni Naro. Publisher TO Books acquired the series and is currently releasing the title with 10 volumes in print. A manga adaptation by Mizu Morino is also currently in the works.

J-Novel Club has licensed the series in English and describes the story as follows:

Surrounded by the hateful glares of her people, the selfish princess of the fallen Tearmoon Empire, Mia, casts one last look at the bleeding sun before the guillotine’s blade falls… only to wake up as a twelve-year-old again! With time rewound and a second chance at life, she sets out to rectify the countless ills plaguing the ailing empire. Corrupt government? Check. Border troubles? Check. Natural disasters and economic unrest? Check. That seems like a lot of work. Hard work and Mia don’t mix, so she seeks the help of others, starting with her loyal maid Anne and the brilliant minister Ludwig. Together, they work day and night to rebuild the empire. Little by little, their tireless efforts begin to alter the course of history and steer the entire continent toward a new future. And why has the selfish princess changed her tune, you ask? Simple—she hasn’t. She’s just scared of the guillotine. It hurts like hell, and Mia hates pain more than work.
