Teaser and promotional video for the anime "Douse, Koishite Shimaunda" released

The upcoming TV anime "Douse, Koishite Shimaunda," based on the original manga by Haruka Mitsui, has revealed its teaser visual and promotional video. The series is set to air in January 2025.

The teaser features the main characters, including the protagonist Mizuho Nishino and her childhood friends Teruki Hazawa, Fukashi Kashiwagi, Ai Izumi, and Shugo Hoshikawa. The characters are lying in shallow water with intense gazes, reminiscent of the manga's cover design. The promotional video shows a scene where the five friends walk to school together, with each character interacting with Mizuho. The video ends with Mizuho's inner voice saying, "I knew it. We can't stay like this forever."

The anime's story revolves around Mizuho Nishino, a second-year high school student who dreams of becoming a manga artist and experiencing a glamorous youth, despite having no romantic experience. Mizuho is voiced by Sakura Arata, while Teruki Hazawa, who pursues her, is voiced by Kaito Urawa. Fukashi Kashiwagi, the cool student council president of Aozaki High School, is played by Shion Yoshitaka. Ai Izumi, a popular reading model and influencer, and Shugo Hoshikawa, a sharp-witted literature and subculture enthusiast, are voiced by Shoya Chiba and Eishi Inomata, respectively.

"Douse, Koishite Shimaunda" is currently serialized in Nakayoshi (Kodansha). The story follows the romantic entanglements between Mizuho and her four childhood friends, beginning with Teruki's sudden love confession to Mizuho.
