Teaser video for the anime "Kananoi-kun to Koi no Yamai" with the voices of Kana Hanazawa and Chiaki Kobayashi

The TV anime adaptation of Moeno Mori's "Kananoi-kun to Koi no Yamai" will begin airing in April 2024. Along with this announcement, a teaser promotional video featuring the character voices of Kana Hanazawa as Hotaru Hinae and Chiaki Kobayashi as Kananoi-kun was released.

"Kananoi-kun to Koi no Yamai," currently serialized in Kodansha's Dessert Magazine, is a love story revolving around the high school student Hotaru Hinae, who has lived a life without romance, and the mysterious, handsome Kananoi-kun.

The teaser video begins with a scene where Hotaru casually offers an umbrella to Kananoi-kun. It highlights Hotaru's confusion about love as she wonders, "What does it feel like to like someone in a special way? Will I ever experience love?" and Kananoi-kun, a boy whose love is too intense, asks, "What is love to you? Let's try going on a date." The video also showcases the change in the main character Kananoi-kun's appearance from long hair to short hair.
