"Teino San Shimai Wa Angai, Choroi": New voices and character details

The production of the romantic comedy anime Teino San Shimai wa Angai, Choroi (original: Hirakawa Aya) provides further insights into the cast: Aoi Koga (Kaguya-sama: Love Is War) will voice the second-oldest sister, Niko Teino. A striking character visual as well as an interview with the voice actress have been released, showing Niko in an action-packed combat pose.

Niko Teino, a martial arts master and head of the karate club, combines strength and charm: Despite her intimidating reputation, she harbors a secret fondness for cute things. The character embodies the contrast between outward toughness and inner playfulness—a central theme of the series.

The story revolves around the three exceptionally talented Teino sisters and the average student Yu Ayanose, who must find his footing in their shadow. While the sisters excel in sports, art, and science, Yu’s everyday chaos leads to humorous conflicts and unexpected moments of connection.

The anime is produced by Studio P.A. Works (Shiroi Suna no Aquatope) under the direction of Yuito Matsubayashi. The character design is handled by Yusuke Inoue, while Hinata Minami (voice of Yu) and Amane Urina (as the eldest sister, Iki) take on other main roles. The announcement of the third sister, Miwa Teino, is set for March 8, 2024.

The series blends slapstick comedy with heartfelt relationship moments, with the dynamic portrayal of the Teino sisters at its core.
