Private broadcaster Tele5 returns

As reported by the news service "Der Kontakter," Tele5 will go back on air starting April 1. Via satellite and cable

Behind this project are Munich-based film distributor Herbert Kloiber and the head of Kloiber's consulting firm Get-on-Air, Jochen Kröhne. Roughly 10 years after the sudden end of the channel, Tele5 will resume broadcasting on April 1 via satellite and in Bavaria's cable network. When additional cable networks will follow remains unknown for now. The former program director, Jochen Kröhne, will become the new managing director.

The new Tele5 sees itself as a family-oriented entertainment channel with children's programming, feature films, and service programs, largely continuing the concept of the "old" Tele5. Most of the content is expected to come from Kloiber's archives.
