A new promotional video has been released for the currently airing TV anime "Tenmaku no Jaadugar" (roughly "The Tent Witch"), marking the start of the Mongolia Arc. At the same time, the production team announced three additional cast members for the new main female characters.

The clip shows the protagonist Sitara (voiced by Akira Sekine) traveling from Persia to Mongolia, where she encounters various consorts of the imperial court. The striking glances and expressions of the women shown for the first time hint at their secret intentions, which will intertwine with Sitara's further journey. Particular focus is on the inscrutable Boraqchin – her voice actress has not yet been revealed.

The following three voice actresses were announced:
- Misaki Kuno lends her voice to Sorkoktani, the educated chief wife of the fourth prince Tolui.
- Ayaka Asai voices Möge, the fourth consort of Emperor Ögedei, who plays on her good-naturedness and naivety.
- Mayumi Shintani takes on the role of Kyrgyzstani, Ögedei's third consort, who openly antagonizes her rivals.

All three actresses expressed their enthusiasm for their roles in statements – Kuno emphasized that she is playing a married mother for the first time, while Asai praised the blend of soft art style and tense atmosphere of the source material. Shintani highlighted that the series "tells the story of women in the shadow of heroes."

The series is based on the award-winning manga by Tomato Soup, which has been serialized on the Souffle (Akita Shoten) platform since 2021. The source material won first place in the "Kono Manga ga Sugoi!" (Women's Ranking) category in 2023 and has been nominated multiple times for the Manga Taisho; it also received the 55th Japan Cartoonists Association Award in the Comic category.

The animation is produced by the renowned Studio Science SARU ("Dandadan," "The Heike Story"). Artistic direction is handled by chief director Naoko Yamada ("A Silent Voice," "The Colors Within") and director Abel Gongora. The opening theme "Stella" is performed by SEKAI NO OWARI, and the ending theme "Hoshi" by the band QUEEN BEE.

The anime has been airing since July 4, 2026, on the TV Asahi national network (IMAnimation block) as well as on BS Asahi and other channels. The first two episodes were shown as a one-hour special. The new PV is available on the official YouTube channel.

Other main voice actors include Ami Koshimizu as Töregene, Houko Kuwashima as Fatima, Jun Saito as Muhammad, and Ryota Suzuki as Tolui.

An exact start date for the Mongolia Arc episodes has not yet been announced, but anticipation for the political intrigues at court is already high.
