The manga "Tensei Akujo no Kuro Rekishi" ("The Dark History of the Reincarnated Villainess") by Chihiro Yuzuki is receiving a TV anime adaptation. Along with the announcement, a first visual, character illustrations, a preview, and details about the musical contributions were revealed.

The story follows Konoha, an ordinary young woman who, after being reincarnated, suddenly finds herself in the world of her own fantasy novel. To her horror, she awakens not as the beloved protagonist but as her wicked sister, the scheming noblewoman Iana. From then on, Konoha desperately tries to rewrite her predetermined fate as the antagonist and avoid her doomed ending.

A first released visual shows Iana posing confidently with a book, symbolizing the "Kuro Rekishi," her dark past. The Japanese pop group consisting of seven members, Dance6 Vocal Group K6, has been selected to perform the anime's theme song.

Additionally, the first character illustrations have been released. It was also announced that during the AnimeJapan 2025 event, an official poster featuring the main visual will be displayed, and an exclusive sticker campaign will be held, humorously referencing the story's themes.
