That Time I Got Reincarnated as a Slime Movie Reveals Trailer Title, Story, Release Date

The title of the film adaptation of the "That Time I Got Reincarnated as a Slime" franchise, written by Yasuki Kawakami and Fuse, has been announced as "Guren no Kizuna" (Scarlet Bonds), which will be released in November. Fuse has written the brand-new original story for the film.



The key visual shows Hiiro's back, Rimuru, and Benimaru with the text "A light that should have faded, the power of bonds that must be tested."

The story unfolds after Rimuru transforms into a Demon Lord to save his friends. In the small underworld of Raja, located west of the Federation of Demon Kingdoms (Tempest) where Rimuru rules, there is a long-standing conspiracy revolving around the mysterious power of the queen. Additionally, Rimuru's friends Benimaru and others encounter a survivor of the "Great Demon Tribe" named Hiiro, who was once his brother. A new battle awaits.

The first TV anime adaptation of Taiki Kawakami's manga, which in turn is an adaptation of the light novel series by Fuse and Mitz Vah, premiered in October 2018. The second TV anime season premiered in January 2021. The TV anime adaptation of Shiba's spin-off manga The Slime Diaries: That Time I Got Reincarnated as a Slime (Tensura Nikki Tensei Shitara Slime Datta Ken) was then broadcast in April 2021.
