Damrada reports on the volatile situation in the Kingdom of Falmuth: Champion Youm and the former King Edmaris are accused of embezzling reparation payments to the Demon Lord Rimuru. These accusations enrage the upper ranks and prompt the new King Edward to raise an army against them. However, Rimuru sends reinforcements to support Youm and Edmaris, making war seem inevitable.

Edward consults with his advisors and allies, including the three hangers-on of the master marksman Lubelius. He plans a preemptive strike against Youm in the domain of Nidol. Gaston is tasked with leading a vanguard, and Saare sends his right-hand man Grigori to assist. Saare reveals that the true target is the demon who killed Archbishop Reyhiem and is supposedly staying with Youm.

Diablo observes the preparations and decides to confront King Edward directly. He demands the withdrawal of troops and reconciliation with Youm. Edward refuses, accusing Rimuru and his followers of fraud and betrayal. Diablo challenges Edward and his forces. A battle ensues, in which Diablo demonstrates his overwhelming power, plunging Edward's troops into fear and panic.

The conflict escalates, and Diablo effortlessly defeats the demon hunters sent by Edward. Saare, one of the Ten Great Saints, attacks Diablo but quickly realizes the futility of the fight. Meanwhile, Rimuru attempts to heal Hinata Sakaguchi, who is highly resistant to magic, further complicating the situation. The episode ends with the appearance of the Clergy of the Seven Days, heralding the next phase of the conflict.
