The official website for the second TV anime season of "The Ancient Magus' Bride", based on Kore Yamazaki's manga, has released a new visual for the second half of the season. This was announced at the recently held Anime Expo.

The first half of the second season aired from April 6 to June 22. The remaining half is scheduled to air starting October 5. This season adapts the "Gakuin" arc (College) from the manga, which was originally published in May 2018.

The second season retains several key staff members from previous seasons of the anime. Kazuaki Terasawa, who directed the OAD project "The Ancient Magus' Bride - The Boy from the West and the Knight of the Blue Storm", returns to helm the season at Studio Kafka. This animation studio was established specifically for the aforementioned OAD project.

The script for the second season is co-written by Aya Takaha, Yoko Yonaiyama, and Chiaki Nishinaka. Aya Takaha previously worked on the script for the first season of the TV anime, while Yoko Yonaiyama was involved in "The Ancient Magus' Bride - The Boy from the West and the Knight of the Blue Storm". Character designer Hirotaka Katō, who has experience with the series, also returns. Junichi Matsumoto, who previously worked on the music for the series, resumes his role in the second season.
