"The Apothecary Diaries": April Visual with Peony Shows Nyohana and Maomao

As part of the "Maomao, Jinshi and the Four Seasons" project for the TV anime series "The Apothecary Diaries" (Japanese: "Kusuriya no Hitorigoto"), a new visual for the month of April has been released. The illustration is themed around the peony (Botan) and shows the two characters Nyohana and Maomao.

The image captures an amusing moment: Nyohana, who has presumably received a large peony bloom as a gift from a guest, casually passes it on to Maomao. Maomao, in turn, accepts the flower visibly taken aback and in a hurry. Although Nyohana is a respected courtesan who is dismissive towards men, she always treats Maomao, who is like a little sister to her, with affection. Thus, the visual provides a glimpse into the special relationship between the two.

The "Maomao, Jinshi and the Four Seasons" project releases a new image dedicated to a seasonal plant every month on the 22nd, the so-called "Maomao Day." Wallpapers for PC and smartphone with the April motif are available for download on the series' official website. Additionally, the official X account (Twitter) of "The Apothecary Diaries" is giving away a card featuring the new visual to five participants.
