Episode 8 begins with the protagonist Cain waking up on the day of his entrance exams at the academy. His maid Sylvia excessively apologizes for waking him up late, but Cain assures her that his special ability, which allows him to teleport to any place he has been before, will ensure he arrives at the academy on time.

Upon arriving at the academy, Cain receives exam number 285 and is led to classroom A. Surprisingly, he doesn’t recognize any familiar faces among his fellow examinees. The exam begins with written tests in reading, writing, arithmetic, and history. Thanks to his knowledge from his previous life and his privileged upbringing as a noble, Cain finishes the written exams in just 30 minutes.

Next, the students must demonstrate their magical abilities by casting their strongest spell at a target. Cain, who is told he can use his full power due to a defensive barrier around the practice area, chooses the beginner spell "Fireball." However, his spell is so powerful that it destroys both the target and the barrier, causing panic among the examiners.

After the magic exam, the examinees move on to the swordsmanship test, where they are paired with adventurers from the Adventurer’s Guild ranked A. One of the adventurers, Claude, recognizes Cain and chooses him as his sparring partner. Despite Claude’s impressive skills, Cain holds his own and even impresses the seasoned adventurer.

After the exams, Cain returns home to Sylvia, who is thrilled by his confidence in the results and begins planning a feast. Cain, however, is more concerned about the damage he caused during the magic exam.

Days later, the results are announced. Cain tops the class, much to the delight of his friends Telestia and Silk and the surprise of the school principal. Meanwhile, Cain learns that he took the exams separately from his classmates because he entered the academy through the south gate, which is meant for commoners, rather than the north gate for nobles.

On his first day at the academy, Cain meets up with his friends and his new homeroom teacher, Elka von Portlay. The students are asked to choose their courses of study, and Cain ambitiously selects four: Nobility, Adventure, Magic, and Magical Items.

The episode ends with a confrontation between a group of nobles and a common beastkin named Parma, who was admitted into Class A. Cain intervenes, defends Parma, and asserts that nobles and commoners should be treated equally at the academy, setting the tone for his future interactions at the institution.
