The fantasy romantic comedy "Akuyaku Reijou to Kyouketsu Koushaku" (The Countess with the Unusual Appetite and the Bloodthirsty Duke) is receiving an adaptation as an anime television series. The plot revolves around Melphiera, a countess known for her unusual taste, and Aristide, the Duke of Galbraith, who bears the epithet "bloodthirsty duke".

Melphiera, a count's daughter, has an unusual interest: she researches how to safely prepare and enjoy monsters that threaten people. This has earned her the nickname "Countess with the unusual appetite". During a matchmaking party, she is attacked by a feral monster and is saved by Aristide, the feared Duke of Galbraith. Impressed by his strength and grace, a special relationship develops between them.

The original novel is by Hoshi Kanata and is published by Kodansha under the label K Ranobe Books. The manga adaptation by Mizube Chika is serialized in ARTEMIS by sirius.

The animation production is handled by Asahi Production. Direction is by Mutsumi Takeda, and the series composition is by Keiichirō Ōchi. The character design was created by Masato Katō.

In addition to the already known voice actors Kanna Nakamura (as Melphiera) and Taito Ban (as Aristide), further cast members have been announced:

- Takashi Kondō plays Keios Lauforge, the capable advisor and steward of the House of Galbraith.
- Nobuhiko Okamoto takes on the role of Milran Sello, a knight who supports Aristide alongside Keios.
- Ryōhei Kimura plays Maxim de Rivastour Mild Langdias, the 29th king of the Kingdom of Langdias and biological brother of Aristide.
- Makoto Furukawa is heard as Ambury Shaarl, Daisuke Hirakawa as Zef Sensen, and Toshiki Masuda as Claude Fall, all knights of the House of Galbraith.

The opening song "Sugarie Story" is by AVAM, and the ending song "Kibō Kōdo" is performed by Shun'ichi Toki.

A key visual shows Melphiera and Aristide at a table with various ingredients and magical dishes. In the background, the monster birds Berugenion and the duke's riding dragons can be seen. On Melphiera's lap sits a young sky wolf, the guardian beast of the House of Galbraith.

The series combines elements of fantasy, romance, comedy, and culinary arts, and is aimed at fans of unusual love stories in fantastic settings.
