The Eminence in Shadow shows Alpha in the first character trailer

For the TV anime of Daisuke Aizawa's light novel series The Eminence in Shadow (Kage no Jitsuryokusha ni Naritakute!), a character video focusing on the protagonist named Alpha has been released.



Yen Press has licensed both the light novels and the manga adaptation, describing the first volume as follows:

Even in his previous life, Cid never dreamed of being a protagonist or a final boss. He prefers to keep a low profile as a side character until it's time to reveal that he's a mastermind... or at least do the next best thing—pretend to be one! And now that he's been reborn in another world, he's ready to create the perfect conditions to fully live out his dreams. With his overactive imagination, Cid jokingly recruits members for his organization and invents an entire backstory about an evil cult they must take down.
