The fourth volume of Daisuke Aizawa's The Eminence in Shadow (Kage no Jitsuryokusha ni Naritakute!) light novel series has confirmed that an anime adaptation is in the works.

Yen Press has licensed both the light novels and their manga adaptation, describing the story:
