"The Endless Scarlet": closing credits and special broadcasts announced

Details have been revealed for the musical accompaniment and accompanying television content for the new film by director Mamoru Hosoda, "The Endless Scarlet".

The end title track for the work is named "〈The Endless〉". The lyrics for this were written by director Hosoda himself. The vocals are performed by Mana Ashida, who also provides the voice for Princess Scarlet in the film. A special promotional video using this song has been released.

The composition for "〈The Endless〉" is by Taisei Iwasaki, the film's music director. Iwasaki mentioned that the song intentionally leaves rhythmic spaces, which Ashida filled with her own sensibility. This leads to an interpretation that could only come from her.

Furthermore, several special broadcasts focusing on the creation of the film have been announced. A collaboration with the news program "news zero" on November 15th will show insights from the Venice International Film Festival in July. On December 6th, a discussion with Mana Ashida, Masaki Okada (voice of Saint), and director Hosoda on the topic of creating a new animated film is planned. An interview between director Hosoda and Kōji Yakusho (voice of Claudius) will also be aired. A documentary about the four-year production process and the music is also part of the program.

Additionally, the book "Studio Chizu 15th Anniversary: The Challenge to the World with 'The Endless Scarlet'" will be released on November 25th. The publication illuminates the entire creation of the work—from planning and voice recording to international marketing—through interviews with those involved. The book is published by Nikkei Entertainment!, which has been following Hosoda and his studio since the pilot version of "The Girl Who Leapt Through Time" in 2006.
