The opening scene shows a man preparing a firearm while a narrator introduces the concept of extraordinary individuals in various fields, hinting that the story will focus on such an individual. The narrative quickly shifts to two criminals on the run, one of whom is shot by a person named "Fable." This marks the beginning of Fable's pursuit of the surviving criminal, who wonders why Fable is after him. The chase ends with Fable shooting the man and his reinforcements as they exit an elevator.


After the confrontation, Fable meets with a woman who briefs him on the details of the encounter and heads to a meeting point at a harbor basin. There, they speak with another man about their past operations and future plans, including moving to Osaka and adopting new identities to adapt and refine Fable's skills under different conditions. This man also establishes a strict rule against killing in their new environment.


In preparation for their move, Fable and his partner, now calling herself Yoko Sato, sort through their belongings and discuss their new life, including the significance of Fable's favorite weapon, a Nighthawk pistol. On the way to Osaka, they talk about their past and professions, interrupted by an incident with car thieves, whom Fable neutralizes.


After their arrival in Osaka, their efforts to integrate are described, including adapting to local dialects and preparing for a meeting with members of the Maguro Group, a local yakuza organization aware of their situation. The episode concludes at the Maguro Group's headquarters, where the potential risks of harboring Fable are discussed, along with the certainty that their arrangement will work.
