In Episode 12, Fable tries to calm Misaki after a rescue operation, but this only intensifies her fear. When he realizes her fear, he explains to her that his weapon is just a toy and goes out to incapacitate three men by aiming at their legs. Meanwhile, Takeshi and Fable Two discuss the possibility that Fable might lose his talent, while Sunagawa and Kojima talk about the death of Kojima's superior, which culminates in a foiled assassination attempt on Kojima.

Fable prepares for battle, communicates with Yoko, and instructs her to stay back.
