Upon confirmation, he learns that Fable had coffee with the client, prompting him to plan a welcome party for Fable.

Hiroshi rewards Kojima for his services and inquires about his future intentions within the yakuza. Kojima expresses his wish for the yakuza to take a different path than his own, which he believes is wrong. Takeshi offers Kojima a temporary place to stay but deceitfully denies him access to a house occupied by Fable.

Kojima's request for a firearm is rejected by Takeshi, who cites the peace between the local yakuza and the civilian population. In a lighthearted moment, Fable, Misaki, and their coworkers chat at a restaurant about work and life. Fable's unusual eating habits lead to a sincere but unsettling conversation about his troubled past, which moves Misaki to tears.

The restaurant scene takes a turn when Fable thwarts the inappropriate use of a camera aimed under Misaki's skirt by skillfully distracting it with a chicken bone. After the meal, as Misaki heads to her bartending job accompanied by a male coworker, Misaki's boss takes Fable elsewhere.

Later, this man subtly steals Misaki's keys. At another bar, tensions rise when members of the Maguro group appear. Kuro changes his behavior upon noticing Fable, leading to a confrontation that he quickly defuses to avoid escalation with Fable. Misaki's boss then suggests Fable take up martial arts to strengthen his abilities, casually mentioning a past incident where Fable ate edamame shells—prompting Kuro to mimic him in an odd rivalry.

The episode ends with a series of unsettling events: Misaki's coworker intrusively rummages through her belongings in her apartment, while Fable recounts his troubled childhood in a flashback. Misaki, locked out and missing her keys, asks Fable for help but ultimately stays with a friend after Fable tactfully refuses to assist her in opening the door. The episode concludes with Fable and Misaki at Yoko's doorstep.
