Episode 7 of The Fable begins with Yoko touching Misaki's face. Yoko falls asleep, and Misaki thanks Fable for letting her stay. Takahashi arrives at Kojima and Takeshi's place, where Kojima treats him poorly despite welcoming him. Kojima gives Takahashi a beer and tells him to spread his reputation within the Maguro Group. Takeshi is found unconscious in the bathroom.

Fable watches a drama starring Jackal while Kojima stands by Takeshi's hospital bed. Kojima informs Takahashi that Takeshi may have suffered a heart attack. Takahashi explains that Takeshi was stressed because of Hiroshi's "relatives" (Yoko and Fable). Kojima updates Hiroshi about Takeshi, and Hiroshi promises to visit when he can. Kojima asks Hiroshi to lend him Takahashi, and Hiroshi agrees.

Kojima and Takahashi visit Fable. Kojima interrogates Fable and demands 100,000 yen per month for peace. Fable agrees, and Kojima leaves. At work, Misaki finds her keys, and her boss apologizes for his earlier harshness toward the yakuza. They return to work.

Kojima goes to Takouda to buy a gun. Takouda initially refuses but eventually sells Kojima a revolver. During a job, Takahashi receives a call from Yoko but asks her to wait. Kojima ties up his former superior, who once betrayed him, and demands six million yen.

Fable returns home and meets Kuro, who asks to become his student. Fable refuses and advises Kuro not to leave traces if he wants to be a professional. Meanwhile, Kojima's superior fails to gather the money but offers other valuables instead. Kojima orders Takahashi to retrieve the senior's valuables from his apartment.

Kojima's senior needs his fingerprints to access his safe, so Kojima shoots him despite his threats. Aroused by the murder, Kojima orders Takahashi to cut off the senior's hand, leaving Takahashi speechless. With this cruel command, the episode ends.
