The anime adaptation of Katsuhisa Minami's manga "The Fable" is entering its second round. As officially confirmed, a second season is in production, which will adapt the so-called "Yamaoka Arc" from the source material. A first teaser visual has also been released.

The main cast will remain with the series: Kazuyuki Okitsu will once again voice the main character Akira "Fable" Satō, Miyuki Sawashiro his partner Yōko, Kana Hanazawa as Misaki Shimizu, Akio Ohtsuka as Takeshi Ebihara, and Tetsuo Komura as the Boss. Director Ryosuke Takahashi and the animation studio Tezuka Productions are also returning for the continuation.

"The Fable" revolves around a contract killer with the codename "Fable," who is ordered by his boss to live as an ordinary citizen for one year and under no circumstances kill anyone. The first season aired in 2024, and the manga is published in this country by Pika Edition.

Kana Hanazawa was thrilled to see the chemical relationship between Sato and Misaki in focus, and Akio Ohtsuka hopes to be able to breathe life into the character Ebihara once again.
