More concrete information is now available regarding the announced anime series "The Food Diary of Miss Maid" (original title: "Maid-san wa Taberu Dake"). The series is based on the manga of the same name by Susumu Maeya and will begin in April 2026.

The plot revolves around the protagonist Suzume Tachibana, an aspiring maid who returns to Japan after a one-year stay at an English country estate. There, she moves into a modest apartment and begins to explore the variety of Japanese cuisine.

In addition to Suzume, two other main characters and their voice actresses have been introduced. The role of Sora Endō will be voiced by Shizuka Ishigami. Hiromi Igarashi lends her voice to the character Anzu Shingetsu.

Two artists have been secured for the musical framework of the series. The opening theme song titled "Ribbon" will be performed by the singer majiko. The musical contribution for the ending is the responsibility of the girl group ARCANA PROJECT. Their song is titled "Shiawase Flavor" (roughly translated as "Happiness Flavor").

The animation production will be jointly handled by the studios EMT Squared and Magic Bus. The direction will be undertaken by Ryousuke Senbo. The manga on which the series is based has been published on Kodansha's "Comic Days" website since December 2019.
